The summit will take place at two sites--Friday, March 26 at the Conference Center and Saturday, March 27 at Alton Main Street UMC.

The summit is an expansion of the Annual Bread for the World Legislative Briefing. We are adding to the briefing a presentation on Domestic Violence, the UM AIDS project, and micro-loans.   The Domestic Violence and HIV/AIDS presentations will be done by Linda Bales from the General Board of Church and Society. Karen Ujereh will be sharing about the micro-loans.   Karen is a UM mission interpreters stationed in Indianapolis, IN.   LaVida Davis from Chicago returns to us in the legislative briefing for Bread for the World.  The goal is to continue our support for Bread for the World but to expand our justice awareness into other areas as well.
